Maintaining Characteristics

Purpose

You can use this process to maintain characteristics in the Characteristics Builder of the Classification Toolset.

Prerequisites

To start the Characteristics Builder, do one of the following:

• In the Repository Browser (transaction SE80), in the context menu of a package, choose Create → Characteristic
• Start transaction SATTR.

Process Flow

You can use the Characteristics Builder to perform the following activities:

• Create, edit and display characteristics. For more information, see Working With Characteristics.
• Look up the properties of a characteristic. For more information, see Properties of a Characteristic.
• Assign specific values to an existing characteristic. For more information, see Assigning Values to a Characteristic.
