Maintaining Planning Data You can maintain planning data in a number of ways:
You can maintain your planning data as described below.
You can activate Microsoft Excel as an interface for entering your planning data. For more information, see Excel Integration in Planning .
You have to set up your planning, that is, define you planner profile and plan tasks, before you can enter planning data. For more information, see Customizing of Planning .
You have assigned yourself as the system user to the planner profile in which your plan tasks are defined. You assign yourself to a planner profile once in the Funds Management (FM) menu under
You have the following options for entering planning data:
You can enter planning data by entering plan totals and distributing them to the individual periods using a distribution key .
You can enter planning data for the individual plan periods and have these amounts totaled by the system.
You can enter plan totals and plan periods.
There is a number of functions available for entering and maintaining planning data, for example copy, cut and insert. You can find more information under

.
To maintain planning data, proceed as follows:
In the FM menu choose,
If you have not assigned yourself to a planner profile, the system asks you to do this.
The initial screen appears. The first planning task of the current planner profile is displayed on the initial screen. You can scroll between the plan tasks in a planner profile using
(
Previous Layout Ctrl+F3
) and
(
Next Layout Ctrl +F4
).
Note
The system always displays the last planner profile saved in the user record. For example, if you recently did some planning in a planning session, the planner profile from this session is displayed.
Enter the characteristic values for the characteristics.
You can overwrite characteristic values proposed if they are flagged as
Can be Overwritten
in the definition of a plan task.
Note
If fixed values have already been entered for all characteristics when you define a plan task, you go directly to the overview screen, which means that you can enter planning data directly.
Select

), to go to the overview screen.
Enter your planning data and choose

Post Ctrl+S)
.
If you have entered plan totals you can go to the period overview by:
Placing the cursor on a plan value and choosing
(
Period Screen F6
).
The period screen appears. The system displays the distribution of the plan value selected between the individual periods. You can scroll between the period screens of the individual plan data. Choose
(
Previous Combination Ctrl+F1
) and
(
Next Combination Ctrl+F2
).
The distribution depends on the distribution key that was defined during the definition of plan tasks. The following options are available for changing the distribution of the plan values between periods.
You can change the distribution key in the overview screen.
You can overwrite the period values displayed. When you save your values, the new distribution is automatically saved under the manual distribution key 0, and the new plan total is calculated if necessary.
Save your changes.
