Deleting Multi-Level Budget Structures

Use

If specific multi-level budget structures are no longer in use, we recommend that you delete them, so that they cannot be used inadvertently.

When you run this program (transaction FMHIE_DELETE), you can delete a multi-level budget structure for a hierarchy ID, FM area, budget structure, fiscal year, and budget category.

You can choose to delete the hierarchy at the same time as you delete the multi-level budget structure or to delete only the multi-level budget structure (default).

For performance reasons, a consistency check is not supported for use with this transaction to delete multi-level budget structures.

Prerequisites

You have generated the multi-level budget structure for a hierarchy ID, FM area, fiscal year, budget category, and budget structure using transaction FMHIE_GENERATION, or you have copied a multi-level budget structure using transaction FMHIE_ COPY .

Procedure

Proceed as follows:

  1. In the Accounting part of the Easy Access menu, choose Start of the navigation path Public Sector Management Next navigation step Funds Management Next navigation step Master Data Next navigation step Use of Account Assignment Elements Next navigation step Budget Control System (BCS) Next navigation step Budget Structure Next navigation step Multi-Level Budget Structure Next navigation step Delete. End of the navigation path

  2. Enter the FM area and a multi-level budget structure.

  3. Enter the fiscal year, the budget category and, if necessary, the hierarchy ID.

  4. Check Test Run if you want to simulate the results in a test run before actually running the transaction.

  5. If you want to delete the hierarchy ID, set the Delete Hierarchy ID indicator.

  6. Execute the transaction.
