Implementing GB FlexBens PC Plans: Examples Your organisation has configured an Additional Funding GB Flexible Benefits scheme for your employees and implemented a PC plan following the SAP-recommended process. For the upcoming benefits year, a male employee enters Employee Self-Service (ESS) and enrols in a PC plan using the personal computer adjustment reason created for him.
The employee selects the laptop option of the personal computer (PC) plan, at a total cost of GBP1100. The provider of the PC plan offers a two-year plan package. Therefore, the annual benefit cost of the selected PC plan option is GBP550.
For the current benefits year, therefore, the employee’s flex fundis reduced by GBP550. In the following benefits year, the PC plan is carried forward into the next enrolment period, so that the employee can still see that he is still enroled in this benefit plan and that his flex fund has been reduced by a further GBP550. However, he cannot select or change his PC plan options during this subsequent enrolment period.
The following scenario for business operation outlines a generalised approach for impIementing a PC plan within GB FlexBens, considering cost control, business workflow control, and a minimum workload for your Benefits Administrator. You will, of course, amend the process below to meet your own specific business requirements.
The scenario below assumes that you have previously created, customised and implemented your GB FlexBens PC plan as described in the previous three SAP Library personal computer plan documents, following the SAP-recommended processes where stated. The provider offers a three-year PC plan.
PA30. He or she assigns a validity period of November 15 to December 14 2005 for this adjustment reason.
This then allows employees who are assigned a personal computer adjustment reason to enter ESS and enrol a PC plan with a specific plan option between November 15 and December 14 2005 .
After December 14 2005 , employees can no longer enrol a PC plan, or re-select/change their plan options.
For more information, see: Determining the Validity Period of a Personal Computer Plan .
Within this period, an individual employee will not be able to re-select or change the personal computer plan, unless the Benefits Administrator assigns another adjustment reason for this employee.
He or she assigns new adjustment reasons for all employees whose current computer plans expire in the next benefits year, to allow for re-enrolment in the same plan if this is required. The Benefits Administrator controls this process by using the date monitor within infotype

Adjustment reasons can also be created as and when required for eligible employees with no current PC plan, or in any other authorised circumstance.
