Flexible Benefits Enrolment Participation Overview

Use

The Flexible Benefits for Great Britain (GB FlexBens) Enrolment Participation Overview ESS allows you, as an employee, to view information about the benefits plans which you are currently enroled in. You can also use this ESS service to display past and future benefits plans which you have enroled.

Prerequisites

You must have previously enroled Flexible Benefits plans in ESS, using either Annual (Open) Enrolment or Life Event Change Enrolment .

Features

This Enrolment Participation Overview ESS service provides you with several options, available in two separate sections of this ESS screen:

In this section, you can:

  • Display information on your enroled Flexible Benefits plans on a specific date by entering this date in the field Validity date . You can also view past or future enrolments by changing this validity date and choosing Refresh .
  • Display the details of each plan enroled on the selected date by clicking on the plan you wish to view. When you select a plan in this way, a Plan details screen is displayed, containing the following information:
    • Plan name and type, validity dates of plan, and an additional information icon which you can click to view further information on this particular plan.

The additional information option must be pre-customised. See also, Customising and modification options , below.

  • Plan options selected

Additional Information

In this section, you can:

  • Generate a Cost Summary which displays a cost overview of all your enroled Flexible Benefits

If your organisation applies the National Insurance Cost Neutrality principle to your benefits choices, any differences in employer National Insurance Contributions (NICs) produced as a result of your benefits choices will affect your salary. Applying this principle, if your choices result in a saving in employer NICs for your organisation, this saving will be passed on to you. Conversely, if your choices produce increased NICs, your employer will deduct this increase from you. The Cost Summary option will also display the value of any additions or deductions from your salary, as a result of the application of the NI cost neutrality principle during your benefits enrolment.

By choosing the Display Salary Detail option, you can view the effects of your benefits choices on your monthly salary by reviewing your Pre-Flexand Post-Flexsalary.

  • Generate a confirmation form detailing:
    • Personnel and Flexible Benefits data related to you
    • All enroled benefits plans active on the selected validity date
    • Your chosen plan options
    • Validity dates of all enroled plans
    • Costs of all enroled plans
