Delimiting/Moving Subordinate Positions
Prerequisites
If you delimit an organizational unit, and there are positions assigned to the unit, you should do one of the following:

Also delimit the assigned positions

Move the assigned positions, that is, assign them to another organizational unit
The system retrieves the Delimit Subordinate Positions dialog box, so you can take action.
Procedure
Moving Positions

From the Delete Subordinate Positions dialog box, choose Move.
The Choose Organizational Unit screen appears.

In the Search string field, look up the organizational unit that becomes the new parent object. Choose Continue.
If the system finds more than one organizational unit, all units will be listed.
If the system finds only one organizational unit, the Move dialog box appears, showing the proposed position placement, in the organizational structure. In this case, skip to step 3.

Select a unit and then choose Select.

If necessary, choose Period to adjust the validity period of the relationship between positions and the organizational unit.
The Validity Period dialog box appears.

In the Validity period field, enter the new end date.

Choose Continue.
Otherwise, skip to step 5.

Choose Move.
Result
The Change Staff Assignment screen appears. The new position allocations appear in the tree structure. The process of delimiting is restarted. Click here to restart delimitation process.
Delimiting Positions

On the Delimit Subordinate Positions dialog box, choose Delimit.
The Delimit dialog box appears listing the positions to be delimited.

If necessary, choose Period to adjust the validity period of the relationship between positions and the organizational unit.
The Validity Period dialog box appears.

In the Validity period field, enter the new end date.

Choose Continue.
Otherwise, skip to step 3.

Choose Delimit.
Result
The system delimits the positions. The Delimit Object dialog box appears. The process of delimiting is restarted. Click here to restart delimitation process.
