Activating Monitoring for Server

Use

A data collection method only queries the status of a telephony server if you have marked the corresponding server in the SAP system as ready to be queried by the data collection method.

Prerequisites

Only perform the procedure for a server if the associated telephony software supports the alert monitor.

Procedure

Activating Existing Servers

  1. In SAPphone administration, double-click the required telephony server to select it.

  2. Select the Server to Be Monitored by Alert Monitor field.

  3. Confirm the dialog box.

Activating New Servers Directly

While creating the telephony server, select the Server to Be Monitored by Alert Monitor field.

Result

All servers for which you performed this procedure are queried by the data collection methods.
