Left-on-Vehicle, Prior-to-Load, and ReturnsLeft-on-Vehicle Quantities
Product can be left on the vehicle in the compartment into which it was loaded. If product is left on a vehicle, the system proposes a prior-to-load quantity during loading for the next shipment using the same vehicle. The prior-to-load quantity can be used to form part of the new shipment.
Prior-to-Load Quantities
With the prior-to-load quantity, you can include a quantity left on the vehicle from a previous shipment in the next shipment using the same vehicle.
For example, in the delivery confirmation of a previous shipment you may have entered a left-on-vehicle quantity. For the next shipment using that same product and compartment, the system proposes that left-on-vehicle quantity as the prior-to-load quantity during loading.
In the
Load Bulk
screen, when you select
the the system displays for each transport unit in the shipment both the previous shipment number and any left-on-vehicle quantity entered during delivery confirmation.
Return Quantities
Product can be returned to the delivering plant if it is not to be delivered to the intended destination. This process is carried out at the compartment level.
Product can be returned either to the delivering plant or another plant at which the material is held. The return date and time are then used in the material movement posting.
A report can be used to reconcile left-on-vehicle and prior-to-load quantities for a specified period of time. The vehicle reconciliation report displays quantities which have been left on the vehicle and not assigned to any subsequent shipments during load confirmation. To run this report choose
