Creating a VAS Order Without Reference

Use

You can create VAS orders without reference to a document.

Example Example

New stock handling standards lead to the need to re-palletize stock in the warehouse. Since this need is not connected to any delivery or transfer requirement, you would create VAS orders without reference to handle it.

Prerequisites

You have already created the following:

  • VAS work centers in Customizing for Start of the navigation path Logistics Execution Next navigation step Warehouse Management Next navigation step Value-Added Services Next navigation step General VAS Settings Next navigation step Define VAS Work Centers. End of the navigation path

  • VAS templates. For more information, see Creating a VAS Template .

Procedure

  1. From the SAP Easy Access menu, choose Start of the navigation path Logistics Next navigation step Logistics Execution Next navigation step Internal Whse Processes Next navigation step Value-Added Services (VAS) Next navigation step Processing VAS Orders Next navigation step Create Without Reference. End of the navigation path

    The Create VAS Order w/o Reference screen appears.

  2. In the Warehouse field, enter the warehouse number.

  3. In the Work Center field, enter the name of the work center in which you want the created VAS order to be executed.

  4. In the VAS Template field, enter the name of the VAS template on which you want to base the created VAS order.

  5. You can also enter a material number and/or handling unit number in the relevant fields.

  6. If you want to create the VAS order and have it executed later, choose Start of the navigation path VAS Order Next navigation step Save End of the navigation path from the menu.

    The VAS order is created.

  7. If you want to create the VAS order and execute it immediately, choose Save and Execute VAS.

    The Value-Added Services (VAS) – Work Center screen appears. You can now execute the VAS order. For more information, see Executing VAS in a Work Center: Desktop Transaction
