Selecting Price Catalogs for Editing

Usage

Here you can select precisely which catalogs are to be displayed in enhanced price catalog editing, and then go directly to this function. You can restrict the selection to catalogs that belong to your workflows (see below, My Worklist Only).

Prerequisites

Using various default setting options, you can control, for example, which catalog groups (and thus employees) are assigned to process which catalogs. The following settings are optional:

Use transaction W10T to call the special initial menu for the retailing system.

Choose Logistics -> Retailing -> Master Data -> Article Data -> Price Catalog Inbound Processing -> Data Transfer -> Select and Edit Price Catalog, and then select the path described under "Navigation".

Environ. -> Default Settings -> Field Catalog: GLN/... (or Field Catalog: Goods...)

Here you define which fields are available for display for each vendor or merchandise category.

You can define fixed values for fields that the system should use for each vendor or merchandise category.

Environ. -> Automatic Copy

You can define whether the system should transfer articles for each vendor or merchandise category automatically.

Environ. -> Profiles

If you choose New Entries in the subsequent transaction, the system displays the screen for profile creation. For more information, see Generate Selection Report.

Profiles determine which fields are displayed by the system. You can choose profiles during the selection process (see below).

Environ. -> Maintain Processor Group

Here you create catalog groups, and assign them to an organizational unit (see also GDS Workflow).

Environ. -> Maintain Vendor-Group Assignment

Here you can assign a vendor to a catalog group.

Environment -> External / internal material group

Here you can assign an internal merchandise category to the external merchandise category of a sender (vendor), from the PRICAT message.

Environment -> Vendor/Material Group -> Catalog Group

Here you can assign a vendor and merchandise category to a catalog group.

Procedure

Use transaction W10T to call the special initial menu for the retailing system.

Choose Start of the navigation path Logistics Next navigation step Retailing Next navigation step Master Data Next navigation step Article Data Next navigation step Price Catalog Inbound Processing Next navigation step Data Transfer Next navigation step Select and Edit Price Catalog End of the navigation path.

In the screen area Fields (top left), double-click those fields that you want to use for the free selection. Fields in green are currently selected. You can deselect them with a double-click.

In the group box Restrictions, select the options according to which you want to restrict the catalog selection.

My Worklist Only: You should select this option if you want to display only those catalogs for which you have received a workflow notification. Deselect this option if you also want to select catalogs that are assigned to processor groups to which you do not belong. For more information on working with workflows, see GDS Workflow.

In the group box Free Selection, select the values according to which you want to restrict the selection, for each field.

If you want to delete your entries, choose with quick info Delete All Selection Options. Then you can continue with step 5.

Choose Edit -> Select or with the quick info Execute.

In the lower left screen area you can see an overview tree with the selected catalogs.

If you click a catalog line, you can see a preview of the catalog items that are displayed in price catalog editing, in the adjacent screen area.

If you wish to change the group that a catalog item belongs to, you select it and choose Edit -> Assign Groups or with quick info Change Group Assignments.

Choose Edit -> Edit or with quick info Link to Price Catalog Maintenance, to go to catalog processing.

Result

In enhanced price catalog editing, you can view or edit the selected catalogs.
