SAP Update: Configuration and Administration

Use

This documentation summarizes administration tasks in the SAP update system.

Authorizations

The following authorization steps are required for the update system. They are defined in authorization object S_ADMI_FCD (domain XUFUNCTION in the ABAP Dictionary).

UADM	Administrator	Authorization for all functions described
UMON	Administration with restrictions: Administrators can manage update records, but cannot deactivate and reactivate the update system.	Authorization for update management (transaction SM13), but not for the administration of the update system (, or transaction SM14)
UDSP	Developer	Display of update records to analyze terminations in the development process. For more information, see SAP Note 877104 .
