File Menu
Use
The File menu is used to manage 2D and 3D files. The available options differ depending on the current file type, whether the file is animated, and on the current of Explorer bar view.
Features
The following options are available from the menu:

New |
Opens a new empty scene |

Open |
Opens supported files |
|
Open Recent |
Shows recently opened files |

Add Content |
Opens the Add Content window and allows you to add a new root node into the scene with the content of the file. |

Replace Selection |
Replaces the content of one or more selected nodes with the content of the selected file |
|
Update from File |
Uses the selected update strategy to locate the components in the authored file to replace with the content in the selected file. Authoring is reattached where possible and a change reconciliation window is displayed to assist with unresolved items. For more information, see Update Options Window |

Save As |
Establishes save settings for the selected file type (format). The available options differ depending on the type of file that you’re saving; whether the current file is a 2D image or a 3D model. For example, if you save a file in the .jpg format, the Image Quality option becomes available. |

Export |
Saves a file a file in the native format (.rh or .vds) |
|
Publish |
Saves a file in formats other than .rh or .vds |
|
Batch Operations |
Converts, or renders and converts all files in the File list (excluding CAD files). |
|
Printer Setup |
Used to set up your page layout |
|
|
Prints the current image on the selected printer |
|
Exit |
Quits the program. If files are being transferred when you close the application, the transfer is canceled. |
