SAP DMS Panel
Use
You can use the SAP DMS panel to easily navigate DMS, and search and access 3D Visual Enterprise visuals in the Document Management System.
The panel contains tabs for Favorites and Search Results. The Favorites tab is always present and there can be multiple search result tabs.
Documents and Files
The panel is divided into two areas. On the left side are documents contained within the DMS, and the right side contains files that are associated with those documents.
Documents Area
The Documents area contains a list of documents that meet the search criteria.
You can use the layout settings to determine visible attributes. You can select visible columns (attributes) by a right-mouse click on the header. If the document has a structure, it can be expanded or collapsed.
From the Documents area, a context menu is available, offering further functions. The context menu available from the documents area is as follows:

Adds the selected document to your favorites list |

Remove from Favorites |
Removes the selected document from your favorites list |

New Version |
Creates a new version of the document and places it in your favorites list |

Duplicate |
Opens the Create Duplicate Document window, and allows you to duplicate the selected document. The duplicate is placed in your favorites list. |

Delete in DMS |
Flags the selected document for deletion in the DMS |

Update |
Updates the selected document after you have made changes |

Paste File |
Pastes information into the document from Internet Explorer and from the attached file |

Attach File |
Attaches a file to the document |

Attach Opened File |
Attaches the currently open file to the document |

Set Status |
Sets the document status |

Opens the selected document in “Display Mode” in SAP GUI |

Files Area
The Files area displays a list of all files that are associated with a selected document.
You can select multiple documents at any one time. The associated files are all displayed in the right panel, grouped by document.
From the Files area, a context menu is available, offering further functions.

Undo Check Out |
Cancels the check out. Any changes made to the file are ignored. |

Checks in the selected attached file and uploads any changes made to the file |

Downloads the file and saves in the local cache without checking out. |

Updates the selected file after you have made changes |

Copy |
Copies the selected file and enables you to paste in an external Windows folder |
