Editing Disposal Channels

Use

This procedure describes how you create and change a disposal channel.

Note Note

When you create and change disposal channels, note that at some places in Waste Management, data from the disposal channels for the higher-level waste management business partners is used if no disposal channel exists for a waste management business partner (waste generator or waste disposer) (see Integration section under Disposal Channel ). You do not therefore necessarily need to create a disposal channel for a waste management business partner if a disposal channel exists for a higher-level waste management business partner and the data for this disposal channel also applies to the lower-level waste management business partner. From the disposal channel processing screen, you can display the disposal channels for the higher-level waste management business partners by choosing H-level disp. chnls .

Prerequisites

If you want to create a disposal channel, you must have created the waste generation and waste disposal that you want to combine in the disposal channel.

Procedure

In the Waste Management menu , choose Start of the navigation path Master Data Next navigation step Master DataOverview. End of the navigation path

Creating Disposal Channels

  1. In the overview tree, choose the waste generator or waste disposer from the waste generation or waste disposal that are to be combined in the disposal channel.

    If you cannot find the waste generator or waste disposer in the overview tree, you can search for and choose it as described under Searching for Waste Management Business Partners .

  2. Choose the Waste Generation orWaste Disposal tab page and select the waste generation or waste disposal.

  3. Choose the Disposal Channel tab page and enter the following data:

    • If you selected a waste generation in the previous step, enter a waste disposer in the Waste disposer field. You can only enter waste disposers for which you have created a waste disposal containing the waste for the selected waste generation.

    • If you selected a waste disposal in the previous step, enter a waste generator in the Waste genertr field. You can only enter waste generators for which you have created a waste generation containing the waste for the selected waste disposal.

  4. Enter additional data as required and save your entries.

Changing Disposal Channels

  1. In the overview tree, choose the waste generator or waste disposer from the waste generation or waste disposal that were combined in the disposal channel.

    If you cannot find the waste generator or waste disposer in the overview tree, you can search for and choose it as described under Searching for Waste Management Business Partners .

  2. Choose the Waste Generation orWaste Disposal tab page and select the waste generation or waste disposal.

  3. Choose the Disposal Channel tab page.

  4. Enter data as required and save your entries.

    Note Note

    Under certain conditions, the system automatically uses a purchasing document of category K ( contract ), which you entered for a disposal channel when you created a purchase order for the disposal from the SAP disposal processing component via the purchase order or order & clear function (see Determination of a Valid Contract from the Master Data ). However, the system does not check whether it is appropriate to assign a contract to a disposal channel here in the master data . You should therefore read the Notes on Assigning Contracts .
