Manual Specification Assignment During the Specification ImportThe specification assignment that is created by the SAP system during the File Check During the Specification Import can be postprocessed manually.
Modifying the specification key will have an effect on the assignment of specifications from the transfer file to a specification in the SAP system.
Effect of the specification key

The SAP system imports the specification data according to the definition in the You can change the specification key. To do this, you must specify a specification key that already exists and use this to assign the specification data to this specification. You can delete the specification key. The SAP system finds no specification key. | You can create the specification key. To do this, you must specify a specification key that already exists and use this to assign the specification data to this specification. You can omit the specification key. If no specification key is assigned, the specification will be created during the import. |
Note
If you specify a specification key, this key must exist already. You cannot define a new key manually.
Assignments that you have specified will not be checked by the import; they will simply be carried out. If no specification key was assigned during the check, the system creates the specification during the import and does not check whether the specification has since been created.
