Displaying Properties You can use this procedure to display data for one or more value assignment types in different ways.
If you only want to display the data for one value assignment type in the SAP system, choose this value assignment type in the property tree . Depending on which authorizations you have, the system will display the data as follows:
If you have authorization to change specification data, the system displays the data in the same way as for editing and you can change it.
If you have authorization to display specification data, the system displays the data in the same way as for editing, but you cannot change it.
If you have authorization to read specification data, the data is displayed in a list.
You have run a specification search or loaded a set of hits and are on the hit list screen.

Select the specifications for which you want to display properties.
Choose one of the following steps:
If you have already activated the output variantyou want to use, continue with step 4.
If you have not activated any output variants or have activated a different output variant, choose
with the quick info text
Change Output Variant
.
The
Display Output Variant: Group Overview
dialog box appears.
Double-click an output variant for displaying properties. The standard system contains output variants VALUATION, EXCEL, EXCEL-LAB, and EXCEL-REG in the group EMPTY for this.
The system takes you back to the hit list.

If you have chosen an output variant in which no value assignment type has been selected, the system first displays a property tree. Select the value assignment types you want to display and confirm your selection.
Note
If you have already selected a value assignment type on the initial screen using the
Substance with property
search function, this is selected automatically and the property tree does not appear.
If you use Microsoft Excel, you can select a maximum of 50 value assignment types.
The selected output variant controls how the data is output. The system does not take the format of long texts into account. Instead of formatting, the system outputs the control characters of the format.
The data of the value assignment types selected is displayed as a list in the SAP system. All selected specifications are listed with the corresponding data. In the header section for each specification, the identifiers are displayed for each specification according to the column selection on the hit list.
Within the output, you can:

to specify the additional information (assessment, source, usage, user-defined texts, documents) to be displayed
The SAP system determines the following for the specifications selected:
The data for the specified value assignment types entered
Additional information - assessment, source, and usage
The data is then downloaded to your PC and Microsoft Excel is started:
A table is displayed in the Excel folder for each value assignment type.
A line is output in the appropriate table for each specification and value assignment instance. The selected specifications are listed with two identifiers each.
One column in the table is output for each characteristic. All characteristics for a value assignment type are taken into account. Multiple characteristic value assignments are separated by a semi-colon.
Any values the SAP system finds that correspond to the selection criteria are displayed.
Note
In Excel, you can process the data and store it in an Excel file. However, you cannot import the changes back into the SAP system. Excel is a display program only for the data in the SAP system.
To use output variant EXCEL list in the standard system, you must select the value assignment types manually. For output variants EXCEL-LAB and EXCEL-REG, however, the value assignment types are predefined in Customizing and are related to the identification data or notification status.
In the standard system, you can define in Customizing that additional data is output for output variants EXCEL, EXCEL-LAB, and EXCEL-REG.
