Defining General Properties

Use

In this step in the room creation wizard, you define the general properties of the room you are creating.

Your system administrator has assigned the portal role for creating rooms to your portal user.

To launch the room creation wizard, choose Collaboration → Room Creation.
The first step in the room creation wizard, to define the properties and choose the room template, appears.
Enter the following data:
- Name
  Permitted characters: a-z, A-Z, 0-9, _, %, ~, -, äöüÄÖÜß, comma, space
- Description
  The description of the room appears in the room directory below the link to the room.
- Owner
  As a power user who creates a room, the system automatically enters your name as the room owner. The owner is a portal user who receives permission to edit the room (properties, member list, room relations). For more information, see Changing and Modifying Rooms and Managing Rooms as the Room Owner .
- Categories
  Assign at least one of the possible categories. You can use the categories to filter the rooms displayed in the room directory.
- Template
  The system displays the description of the room template selected. Choose the template that best suits your purpose and that you want to use as the basis for your room.
In the room creation wizard, choose Next.
