Introduction

The Self Scanning Backend is a bundle of services supporting the Self Scanning Client applications. It provides functions to start and end a self scanning trip and to pay on the device itself. The services are installed on a central application server and the configuration data is provided over Infochannel (Storemanager Server and Infoservers). The system type is created automatically by the installer during installation or, in the case of a cloud installation, by the respective scripts. The configuration files are also updated automatically by the updaters and scripts. Any change to the configuration can be done on the Storemanager Server, which will provide the changes to the associated systems.
