Status Overview

Status

The following statuses exist:

  • OK: The last update was successful.
  • Failed: The last update failed and rollback to the previous version also failed.
  • Not Ready: The installer was not able to stop the Flow Service because the user was still logged in or there was a transaction in progress, for example.
  • Rolled Back: The update failed, rollback to the previous version was successful.
  • In Progress: The update has started.
  • Prepared: The update request was sent to the Flow Service but the update has not started yet.

When the Status is OK and the Preferred Version is set to "-", then no update is planned.

When the Status is Failed/Rolled Back/Not Ready, the Preferred Version field shows to which version the update was planned.

When the Status is In Progress, the Preferred Version field shows to which version the update is planned. In this case, the Preferred Version cannot be changed.

When the Status is Prepared, the Preferred Version field shows to which version the update is planned. It is possible to skip the update request by selecting "-".

In addition, it is possible to select the preferred version for a Flow Service to send an update request to it. To do so, you have to select the Flow Service you want to update and select the preferred version in the column Preferred Version. You also have to select the Valid From Date.

Change Preferred Version

It is also possible to change the preferred version as a bulk change. To do so, you have to select the Flow Services in the table using the checkboxes and press the button Change Preferred Version.

Note that it is not possible to select Flow Services with the status In Progress.

Select the preferred version and the Valid From Date and press the button OK. Using Cancel, you can skip the version selection.

Only the entry "-" and the version which is allowed for the update will be shown. The version which is allowed for the update is configurable in the function itself in function-pack-descriptor.json, see Customizing Reference.

Retry

For the following statuses:

  • Failed
  • Rolled back
  • Not ready

it is possible to start the update request again. A button Retry Icon is shown next to the status. When you press this button, a new update request will be started and the status will be set to "prepared".
