Basic Hardware Requirement
This chapter provides the basic recommended configuration to run the application.
The Event Service is a central application and runs in one JVM instance together with other applications (running ECON, SDC, MWB, LPS, POS Server, POS Service, etc.).
Each server contains several JVM instances. Their number can increase the performance (scaling).
See the Master Sizing Guide which contains the following:
- Explained principle of horizontal scaling - Master Sizing Guide: 2.3 Cluster Sizing
- Information about storage capacity - Master Sizing Guide: 5 Storage
- The recommended configuration for the application - Master Sizing Guide: 4 Process Configuration
- Global configuration for DB server - Master Sizing Guide:7.3 Sizing Calculation for Database
Application
The configuration shown here is sufficient to run one JVM Server:
| CPU | RAM | JVM heap size | Dedicated space (meta space) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2.13 GHz, 4 Cores | 12 GB | 6 GB | 2 GB |
The principle of horizontal scaling is explained in detail in: Master Sizing Guide, chapter: Cluster Sizing..
Storage
| Recommended storage capacity | |
|---|---|
| Local [GB] | Share [GB] |
| 15 | 1 |
Detailed information on the storage capacity: Master Sizing Guide, chapter: Storage.
