Add Subtotal Line - 01130100009

The function is used to add, display, and print subtotal lines after a certain group of items based on the customer's wishes. If the subtotal function is used, the purchase is paid for all at once, but the customer has an overview of how much each group of items cost. This saves time compared to splitting the purchase and paying for each group of items separately.

The Add Subtotal Line function can be used several times within one transaction, taking into account discounts for individual items in the subtotal group.

Individual subtotal lines are saved when using the Suspend Receipt function and retrieved when using the Retrieve Receipt function.

It is possible to sort and consolidate line items in each subtotal group individually.

Subtotal groups are not taken into account when using the Return with Receipt function or when using the Void Receipt function.

Use Cases

• A customer is buying items for themselves and for their elderly mother. The subtotal enables them to identify the cost of their items and the cost of the items for their mother.
• A customer is buying items for themselves and for a school party (cake ingredients). Using the subtotal, the customer can identify how much money the school will have to reimburse them.
• Roommates are having a party and have all contributed money to the pot but want to know how much of the receipt belongs to each person.
