Installation
For installation of new Flow Service, you have to use the function .
Installation is only possible for the most recently released version of the Flow Service. The current version for installation can be found in the Basic Settings.
Basic Settings
After starting the function, you must enter or select some required information in the Basic Settings:

| Store | (number) to which the Flow Service is assigned (you can select the store from a list or you can also enter the store ID directly) |
| System name | that should be used in Storemanager. A predefined name that can be used is displayed. It is possible to use a maximum of 128 characters |
| OS platform | (Windows or Linux) - If the launchers for both Linux and Windows were uploaded to DSG, then the combobox shows both values for selection. Otherwise, the platform for which the launcher was uploaded is preselected. |
| Workstation ID | of the new Flow Service |
Expert Settings
Press the Expert Settings button to maintain further expert settings.
- Database Password that should be used for this system. If no password is entered for this system, then the global preconfigured password will be used.
Press the Create (in the Basic Settings or Expert Settings mask) button to create, configure, or reinstall the system.
Download
An installation key is generated.
- Press Copy to Clipboard to copy the key for later usage. It is needed to generate individual station settings during installation. Note:If you do not continue the Flow Service installation directly after system creation or you have to use your clipboard for other Copy&Paste procedures in between, please copy the key to an editor in order to use it later.
- Press Download to save the launcher tool to your PC.
- It is possible to have the download configuration executed in the background by pressing the Background button in the progress dialog.
- Once the download preparation has finished, the download will start automatically. Depending on your browser settings, you can select the destination directory or the launcher will be downloaded to a configured directory.
- Once the download has finished, the App can be closed with the Finish button.
Start Launcher
Start the launcher tool on your PC.
Perform the following steps:
- Select the language for installation
- Accept the license agreement
- Enter the installation path
- Enter the installation key
- Enter the path to a keystore in PKCS12 format and its password for SSL communication
- Review the information for installation
- Start installation
When installation is finished, the launcher shows the message “Setup has finished installing Flow Service on your computer”.
Press Finish to end the launcher.
