Tips for Text Input to Create a Model
Discover some tips to ensure you get the best model (diagram) output when describing the process you want to create.
When creating a model with AI, the text input field invites you to enter a description of the business process.

The BPMN model result is based on the content provided in the text input field. Consider the following tips for the best results.

Using the active voice causes you to specifically mention both the subject and the object of the sentence.

Keep consistency in the naming of roles and entities. |
Follow consistent naming for roles that participate in a business process. For example, avoid referring to the role of the "manager" later as "supervisor". Stick to one identification or name for the initial creation of the model, which can be later modified in the Editor. This tip applies to any other entity such as IT-system or Data Object. Avoid using synonyms for the same entity in the same process description. For example, don't use the term "vendor" and later "supplier" for the same entity in the same process description. |

Focus on repetition over AI guesswork. |
Repeatedly mentioning a role's name is more effective than letting AI infer whether the role participates in the process activities or not. |

Be specific and consistent with entities that are connected to a named activity of the process. |
If an entity is connected to a process activity, specifically mention that entity while writing about the activity in the process description.

Avoid adding unnecessary details. |
Keep the description clean, clear, and concise. Including details that aren't critical to the core business process and its flow can result in the creation of unnecessarily complex process models. |

Clearly emphasize the start and end events of the process. |
Start event: Specifies the trigger of the first process activity, it doesn't refer to an activity that is within scope of the process. Start events are usually indicated with phrases like:
End event: Specifies the final outcome of the process. Clearly indicate the end of a process with sentences like:

Sample Texts
Payroll
The process starts when a payroll data alert is assigned. First, the agent assesses the alert. Then, if the alert does not require a data change, the agent provides a comment and closes the alert. The process ends with the alert having been processed. If, after assessing the alert, the alert requires data change, the agent aligns with the line manager and/or employee, checks if the data needs to be updated in the source system, and checks if the data needs to be updated in the source system. If the data does not need to be updated in the source system, the agent corrects the payroll-specific data, provides a comment, and closes the alert. Then, the process ends with the alert having been processed. HR – Recruitment Process

In parallel, the HR team checks the candidate's criminal record against the criminal database as well as the employment register to ensure that the candidate's previous employments were in fact correct. Then finally, the process concludes once the candidate is hired.
Sales Process
The process begins when the sales team records incoming sales orders received via email, phone, or online platforms. The sales team then review each order for completeness and verify it against current inventory to confirm product availability. If the products are in stock, the sales team forwards the order to the warehouse team for picking and packing. The warehouse team arranges shipping to ensure timely delivery. Throughout the process, the sales team updates the order status in the system and communicates progress to the customer. The process ends when the order is successfully delivered and the customer receives the final confirmation.
