Inspecting Test Cases in the Simulation Tool

Learn how to use a simulation to analyze how a test case produces a specific output.

Context

In the DMN simulation tool, you can simulate business decisions by applying data to the rules that are defined in a decision diagram. For more information, see DMN Simulation.

Procedure

  1. Open a DMN diagram in the test lab, as described in The DMN Test Lab.
  2. From the test case table, choose a test case you would like to analyze and navigate to Edit at the end of its row.
  3. Select the Edit option's (down arrow) to reveal additional actions, and select Inspect in Simulation.

    The simulation window opens, displaying inputs, outputs, and boolean rules for the test case.
