Fill DG Master

Use

The system can transfer only those data records to filling for which the logical key can be formed uniquely from the material and dangerous goods regulation. The following links are possible:

  • The assignment between material and a specification of the specification type real substance or dangerous goods classification is made using the material specification assignment.

  • The assignment between a specification of the specification type real substance and a specification of the specification type dangerous goods classification is made using the reference.

  • The assignment between a UN-listed substance and a specification of the specification type dangerous goods classification or the specification type real substance is made using the property tree in the value assignment type Start of the navigation path Dangerous Goods Classification Next navigation step Transport Classification End of the navigation path.

Assignment Templates for Dangerous Goods Classification

In the Basic Data and Tools component, you can make assignments using the following templates:

If, for example, the dangerous goods are to be transported at an increased temperature, assign the dangerous goods classification to the material or materials directly:

Work only with one of the options specified. The red markings indicate that these assignments do not play a role during the filling of the dangerous goods master records.

Comment on figures 5 and 6: Specifications such as real substance, real substance group, listed substance, or listed substance group can be specified as a reference specification.

Assignment Without Dangerous Goods Classification

Caution Caution

You should only make this assignment in exceptional circumstances since no dangerous goods classification is taken into account.

Prerequisites

Procedure

  1. From the Dangerous Goods Management menu: Start of the navigation path Tools Next navigation step Dangerous Goods Master Filling Next navigation step Start Filling End of the navigation path.

    A screen for selecting data appears.

    Note Note

    You can also simulate the filling.

    For this, follow the path above and choose Simulate Filling.

  2. You can use the following fields to define criteria that can be used to select the materials:

    • Dangerous goods classification

      This is the key of specifications of the specification type DG_CL_SUB (dangerous goods classification). The system determines both directly assigned materials as well as the materials that are assigned to real substances that reference a dangerous goods classification.

    • Real substance

      The system determines the assigned materials if the real substance has been assigned a dangerous goods classification and a UN-listed substance as a reference, or a UN-listed substance directly.

    • Material

      The system checks whether a dangerous goods classification has been assigned to the material directly or via the assignment to a real substance.

    • Selection date

      The specifications that are valid for the selection date are selected.

    • Phrase group

      The phrases (of the active phrase library) of the phrase group entered are selected.

  3. Choose Execute (Execute).

    You receive a system message stating whether the filling was performed successfully.

    Phrases are generated automatically in the background during filling. This process runs only if you have not yet created the phrases in the dangerous goods master, or if you have changed existing phrases.

If the filling was performed successfully, you can display the import log.

You can use the Evaluate Change Pointer indicator to configure the system so that it takes into account during filling only those data records that were created or changed.

Displaying the Log

  1. In the Dangerous Goods Management menu, choose Start of the navigation path Tools Next navigation step Import Log Next navigation step Check Log End of the navigation path.

    The Analyze Application Log screen appears.

  2. Make sure that EHDD is entered in the field Object and enter your additional selection criteria.

  3. Choose Execute.

    The system displays the log.

    Note Note

    You can choose which messages you want to display in the import log for filling. This means you can reduce lengthy logs to a more manageable size. You make the settings for this in Customizing for Dangerous Goods Management in the activity Hide Messages in Import Logs.

Deleting the Log

  1. To delete logs, in the Dangerous Goods Management menu, choose Start of the navigation path Tools Next navigation step Import Log Next navigation step Delete Log End of the navigation path.

  2. Enter your selection criteria and choose Execute (Execute).

Result

The data in the specification database is copied to the dangerous goods master of the current system and client. In the dangerous goods master you have the option of postprocessing the data if you have configured the corresponding authorization profile.
