Creating Content Repositories on the SAP Content Server

Procedure

If you executed the step Defining Content Repositories in the Application Server ABAP, you need to ensure that in the second step you create repositories on the SAP Content Server that correspond to those defined in the Application Server ABAP.

You can go directly from transaction OAC0, where you defined the content repositories on the Application Server ABAP, to transaction CSADMIN.

  1. In transaction OAC0, choose the content repository for which you want to create a repository on the content server, and choose Start of the navigation pathEnvironment Next navigation step CS AdminEnd of the navigation path.

The Content Server Administration - Change screen is displayed.

  2. In the Repository Settings section some lines are already available (for example ContentStorageHost, ContentStorageName, Storage). Add the line with the name driver and the corresponding value to avoid problems when creating the repository.

Example for an installation with MaxDB 7.9 on Windows: driver = SAP MAXDB SDB.

  3. On the Create tab page press the Create repository button.

The repository is created and its status is shown on the Detail tab page.

  4. Choose the Certificates tab page and choose the Send Certificate pushbutton.

Certificate data are displayed in a table line.

  5. Select the line with the certificate data and choose the Activate pushbutton.

The status of the certificate is set to Active.

Result

You have created the content repositories in the Application Server ABAP and on the SAP Content Server. You now only need to assign storage categories to the content repositories.
