Grouping of Shift Notes in Shift Report

Use

You can group the shift notes in the shift report according to freely selectable criteria.

Prerequisites

  • You have specified a shift report type to which you have assigned the class CL_COCF_SR_PDF in the Customizing activity Define Shift Report Types in Customizing for the shift report.

  • You have defined the grouping criteria in the List of Shift Notes area in Customizing for the content of the shift report. See also: Group Shift Notes By Plant and Creator

Features

Define Shift Note Group

The system forms groups of shift notes in accordance with the grouping criteria you specified in Customizing and displays them sorted in the shift report. The sorting is carried out in alphabetical order. If you do not define any grouping criteria, the system uses the standard layout for the list of shift notes and does not form any groups.

If you want to create a shift note group as a grouping criterion, you must enter a text in the Label field in Customizing. This label serves to identify the shift note group in the input help for the Grouping Level field.

In the Field Name field, enter the field that the system is to use for a group of shift notes.

The following field names are useful to make groupings according to the objects that are visible in the shift note:

Field Name

Example of Display in Shift Report

ERNAM

Created by Martin Example (EXAMPLE)

AENAM

Changed by Martin Example (EXAMPLE)

ARBHI

Work center/hierarchy: CENTER1 (demo work center 1)

PLANT

Plant: 0001 (demo plant)

CATEGORY_KEY

Category: demo category

REFERENCE_TYP

Reference object: production order

REFERENCE_OBJECT

Reference object: production order 10001234

You can define a separate layout for each grouping criterion. If you do not specify a layout, the system uses the one you specified for the List of Shift Notes .

Group Definition

If a certain value of a grouping criterion is to come at the beginning of the list of shift notes in the shift report, you must additionally enter a group definition for this shift note group. In the group definition in the Field Content field, you must specify the desired value that is to be displayed at the first position. You can also define a heading for this group of shift notes.

  • Field content

Here you specify the field content that is to be displayed at a certain position in the shift report. You specify the position of the field content in the Sequence field.

  • Heading for shift note group

If you specify a heading, this text is displayed as the heading for the selected shift note group in the shift report.

If you do not specify a heading or do not create a group definition here, the system automatically creates a heading from the elements modules in the shift report:

    <Field Label Long>: <Field Content>

The system adopts the <Field Label Long> from the data element of the field you specified in the Field Name field.

However, certain fields are prepared differently:

    • ERNAM and AENAM (Creator and Last Changer)

      <Field Label Long>: <Written-Out User Name> (<Technical User Name>)

      Example Example

      <Field Label Long>: Created by

      <Written-Out User Name>: Martin Example

      <Technical User Name>: EXAMPLE

This is then displayed in the shift report as follows:

      Created by: Martin Example (EXAMPLE)

      End of the example.
    • ARBHI (Work Center and Hierarchy)

      <Field Label Long>: <Field Content> (<Short Text of Work Center>)

    • PLANT (Plant)

      <Field Label Long>: <Field Content> (<Short Text of Plant>)

    • CATEGORY_KEY or CATEGORY_TEXT or QMCOD

      • If <Field Content> is not populated, the system outputs the text Without category .

      • If <Field Content> is populated, the system outputs the following:

        <Field Label Long>: <Text of Category>

    • REFERENCE_TYP (Technical Key of Reference Object)

      • If <Field Content> is not populated, the system outputs the text Without reference object .

      • If <Field Content> is populated, the system outputs the following:

Reference object : <Short Text of Reference Object>

    • REFERENCE_OBJECT

      • If <Field Content> is not populated, the system outputs the text Without reference object .

      • If <Field Content> is populated, the system outputs the following:

        Reference object : <Short Text of Reference Object> <Key>

Example

You can group the shift notes in the shift report according to the criteria Plant and Creator .

If you want to ensure that the shift notes of a certain enterer are displayed as the first group in the shift report, you must specify this enterer in the group definition. In this case, you must create an entry for Mr. Example in the group definition by specifying the user name of Mr. Example in the Field Content field (for instance, EXAMPLE). In the shift report, all shift notes entered by this user will then be listed before all other shift notes.

The remaining shift note groups are displayed arranged by enterer. The enterers are arranged alphabetically. The enterers of the shift notes in plant 1 are listed in alphabetical order first, then all those in plant 2.
