Creating Material Handling Groups

Use

You create material handling groups to enable processing of materials sold at business locations.

Procedure

  1. Choose Start of the navigation path Logistics Next navigation step Sales and Distribution Next navigation step Service Station Next navigation step Retailing Next navigation step Master data Next navigation step Material Next navigation step Material handling group Next navigation step Maintain. End of the navigation path

The screen for creating material handling groups appears.

  1. Choose New entries and enter:

  • A two-character ID for the material handling group

  • The relevant retail network business type (for example, one created for the bulk fuel business)

  • A descriptive text

  1. Mark your entry and double-click Material handling group material assignment in the Dialog Structure tree.

The screen for defining material handling groups appears.

  1. Choose New entries and:

  • Enter the material number of each material that you want to include

  • Set the processing indicators as required

  1. Save your entries. A message confirms that the material handling group has been created.

Result

You can now assign the material handling group to a business location. You do this at the Business Location Type level.
