Finding Abbreviations for a Specific Full Text

On the Find Abbreviations tab in transaction SLPP, you can enter a full text and then display the abbreviations that are assigned to it in the proposal pool.

Procedure

  1. Call transaction SLPP and switch to the Find Abbreviations tab.

  2. Specify a language in the Language field.

    For example, if you want to find English abbreviations for an English full text, enter enUS in this field.

  3. Enter the full text whose abbreviations you want to display in the Full Text field.

  4. Choose Find Abbreviations for Full Text.

Result

If the text that you entered is not defined as a full text for an abbreviation in the proposal pool, a message informs you that nothing was found.

If the text is defined as a full text in the proposal pool, its abbreviations are listed in a dialog box. If two characters are displayed to the left of an abbreviation in the list, then it is assigned to a domain standard. For example, if the abbreviation BC CoCd is displayed for the full text Company Code, it means that CoCd is an abbreviation of the BC domain standard Company Code. If nothing is displayed to the left of an abbreviation, then it is assigned to a system standard.
