SAP Personal Object Worklist Library
Definition
The need for a user-defined worklist has led to the development of the SAP Personal Object Worklist (POWL). The Universal Worklist (UWL) used earlier was a generic worklist, without the option of user level configuration. POWL provides you with a portal-based interface.
POWL provides you, as a business user, with a general overview of your work environment and all related business objects. POWL thus serves as a central point for accessing, managing, and tracking your object-related tasks.
You use POWL to define (and optionally store) queries in a way similar to ERP selection screen variants. Moreover, it is possible to flag such queries as "activated" so their results are immediately visible whenever you navigate to a portal page/workset that contains the respective POWL iView. Consequently, you have your customized "workload" (similar to the mandatory and externally "forced" workload in the case of UWL).
