Use

You can use the Step Options window to modify the global step settings. These settings are applied to all steps when they are created.

Functional Description

When a Step is created

Used to establish dummy sequences.

  • Set Output Size: Sets a default output size when a step is created. Choose Properties to open the Output Size window and modify the settings for output size. Alternatively, choose Current to use the current output size as default.

  • Set Advanced Settings: Sets default advanced settings when a step is created. Choose Properties to open the Advanced window and modify the default advanced settings. Alternatively, choose Current to use the current settings as default.

  • Create a dummy sequence: Creates a dummy sequence when a step is created.

Set Subtitle Settings

Displays the title of the step on the screen when the step is played. Choose Properties to open the Subtitle Properties window and modify the settings for subtitles.

Override Playback

Used to select the percentage playback speed.

Speed

Determines the percentage playback speed, that is, the speed the step plays as a percentage of real-time speed. For example, if the step is 10 seconds long and you enter 100%, it takes 10 seconds to play. However, if you enter 50%, the step takes 20 seconds to play.

Thumbnail Size

Determines the size of the step thumbnails. The default size is 80x60 (existing).
