Decal Mapping Toolbar

Use

The Decal Mapping toolbar is used to transfer an image onto a model. The image can be resized to a suitable size, and then stamped onto the model.

Features

Using this toolbar, you can do the following:

Toolbar Option Functional Description

Load texture image

Loads a texture image

Stamp decal

Stamps the texture image onto a model

Show texture

Shows and hides the texture.

Texture more visible

Adjusts the texture visibility, making it more visible

Texture less visible

Adjusts the texture visibility, making it less visible

Resize texture

Resizes the texture image

Rotate texture

Rotates the texture image

Free Transform Texture

Corner-pins the texture

Decal Settings Window

You can modify the following settings for decal mapping in the Decal Settings window:

Fields

Functional Description

Project as Map

Determines how the texture is projected onto the image when stamped on.

  • Decal: Used to apply the texture. The existing texture also remains.

  • Bump Map: Used to apply the texture to the bump map.

  • Specular Map: Used to apply the texture to the specular map.

Apply to Visible Mesh Faces Only

Used to apply the texture to faces that are visible when stamping
