Editing Partitioning Groups
In addition to the partitioning objects, you can also have the option of assigning tables to partitioning groups.
Context
You can create and edit the partitioning groups yourself so that you can override the existing assignments of tables to partitioning objects if this is necessary.
Procedure
- Choose Customizing for Partitioning (transaction DAGPTC).
- Choose Edit Partitioning Group to display the list of partitioning groups.
- Switch to change mode if you want to create a new partitioning group or change an existing partitioning group.
- Choose New Entries to create a new partitioning group.
- From the list, select an individual partitioning group if you want to edit or delete a partitioning group.
