Using OLE DB for OLAP (OLE DB for Online Analytical Processing), you can connect front-end tools from third-party providers.

OLE DB for OLAP is a respected interface specification that has since become the industry standard. It is used to access relational and multidimensional data regardless of database.

Interface Properties:

  • Read interface

  • Programming language is not specified

  • Mass data is not supported.

  • Execution in the dialog

  • Programming knowledge is required

  • Data can be read from a query
