Managing Models

You use the Models app to work with a model. You can perform the following operations using the Models app:

  • Create a model and assign business entities such as instructions, documents, announcements, parts information of the model.

  • Update successor model information.

  • Add hotspots to the images of a model.

  • Old and new images are shown on the timeline if image-relevant fields are updated on model and equipment level.

  • Create a model request to contact another business partner when you do not find respective models for equipment in the network. The newly created model request is saved with the status <Draft>. While in Draft status, the model request is not visible to the provider. You can edit the model request and save the changes. Changes or updates saved are logged in the timeline.

Delete a model to clean up the data that is not required to be on the network. Deleting a Model

Send the model request back to the requester for author action if there are open questions or missing information related to the request. When setting the status to Author Action, the system displays a dialog to enter a <Comment>.
  • On the provider side, the model request with status Author Action disappears from the For Processing view in the inbox and appears in the Pending view of the inbox.

  • On the requester side, the model request with status Author Action disappears from the Pending view in the inbox and appears in the For Processing view of the inbox.

Submit the completed request to the provider of the requested models. The submit action for model requests will be available in Draft status.
  • Submitting the model request to the provider sets the status to Submitted.

  • The submitted model request is visible to the users of the provider organization in the For Processing view of the list report. On the requester side, all the submitted model request are visible in the Pending view of the list report. At the time of submission of model request, all assigned equipment and document are shared with READ authorization for the provider organization.

Create models relevant for systems.

You can create a system using Start of the navigation pathManage Next navigation step Create SystemEnd of the navigation path option. You can also create multiple systems from a model as components.

You can view all the indicators associated with a model using the Indicators section under Monitoring. You can define, model, and edit additional properties of the indicators and their thresholds using the Edit option in the Indicators section.
If a model is shared with READ access with you, then you now have the rights to add templates owned by you to this model. You can also maintain the attribute values for the same in the Data Sheet section.
