Configuring SAP Analytics Cloud and Offline Analytics Dashboards

This topic describes how to configure SAP Analytics Cloud and analytics dashboards.

Prerequisites

You have a license for SAP Analytics Cloud and an activate account. For more information about SAP Analytics Cloud, see SAP Analytics CloudInformation published on SAP site.

Context

In order that a business user can view analytics dashboards in SAP Asset Intelligence Network, multiple steps are required. First, you perform multiple steps in SAP Analytics Cloud. These steps include, for example, that you define an OData connection, a model and a story. Then, you perform multiple steps in SAP Asset Intelligence Network. These steps include, for example, that you set up a connection between SAP Analytics Cloud and SAP Asset Intelligence Network and configure the analytics dashboards based on the stories from SAP Analytics Cloud.

For defining the models and stories in SAP Analytics Cloud, you can choose whether you create your own model and story or import a package with business content. This package is called SAP Intelligent Asset Management and contains a sample OData connection, seven sample models, and two sample stories. One story is for the Offline Analytics Dashboards application and one story is for the equipment page. As data for the models and the stories, the package contains sample data, which you also overwrite. You can also combine the options, which means that you can use a sample model and a sample story or use a sample model and create your own story.
