Creating and Editing a Sales Document with a BOS

Use

You can create and edit a customer inquiry, a customer quotation, or a sales order with a BOS.

Choose Create with Reference , if:

  • You want to create a customer quotation, and a customer inquiry exists in the system with data that you want to use when you create a new document.

  • You want to create a sales order, and a customer quotation exists in the system, and you want to refer to it when you create a new document.

Prerequisites

You have made the settings in Customizing for Sales and Distribution and created master data such as the customer and the material.

Procedure

Create
  1. Choose Start of the navigation path Logistics Next navigation step Sales and Distribution Next navigation step Sales End of the navigation path , and, depending on the type of document you want to create, choose:

  2. Start of the navigation path Inquiry Next navigation step Create End of the navigation path

  3. Start of the navigation path Quotation Next navigation step Create End of the navigation path

  4. Start of the navigation path Order Next navigation step Create End of the navigation path

  5. On the initial screen, enter the relevant sales document type and details of the sales organization.

  6. Choose .

    The Overview screen is displayed.

  7. Enter the required data (such as customer and material).

    Note Note

    For a document item with BOS, you have to enter the material number of the dummy-material.

Create with reference
  1. Choose Start of the navigation path Logistics Next navigation step Sales and Distribution Next navigation step Sales End of the navigation path , and, depending on the type of document you want to create, choose:

  2. Quotation , or

  3. Start of the navigation path Order Next navigation step Create End of the navigation path .

  4. Select Create with Reference .

    The Create with Reference dialog box appears.

  5. Enter the required data to select the source document.

  6. Select Copy .

    The Overview screen appears.

Change
  1. Choose Start of the navigation path Logistics Next navigation step Sales and Distribution Next navigation step Sales End of the navigation path , and, depending on the type of document you want to create, choose:

  2. Inquiry ,

  3. Quotation , or

  4. Start of the navigation path Order Next navigation step Change End of the navigation path .

  5. Enter the appropriate document number on the initial screen.

  6. Choose .

    The Overview screen appears.

Result

There are several options for branching from the Overview screen to BOS maintenance.

  • Start of the navigation path Choose Goto Next navigation step Item Next navigation step More Next navigation step Services. End of the navigation path

  • Choose .

  • Double-click the document item; the Item Data screen is then displayed. Choose the Services tab page on the Item Data screen.

The service overview screen is displayed. From here, you can create and edit the BOS.
