extends Column

A representation of the 'Calculated Column' model object.

A calculated column is a new column in a data foundation table that is the result of a calculation based on one or more columns of the same table.

A calculated column can be added to a standard table only. See the Information Design Tool User Guide for more information.

getExpression

java.lang.String getExpression()

Returns the value of the 'Expression' attribute.

This is the SQL expression attached to the calculated column.

Returns:

the value of the 'Expression' attribute.

setExpression

void setExpression(java.lang.String value)

Sets the value of the 'Expression' attribute.

The SQL expression of a calculated column does not support lists of values. Only prompts with single value are supported. When it contains some column names, these columns must belong to the same table. The column names must contain the table name.

value - the new value of the 'Expression' attribute.
