Exporting SAP Data in Individual Steps

Use

Once you have started the export, you can also carry out the export in several individual steps. In the case of errors, this procedure offers you greater control.

Prerequisite

You have started the export of SAP data and carried out steps 1 to 6 and are now on the screen STEP interface: Export .

Procedure

  1. Choose Start of the navigation path Edit Next navigation step SAP Next navigation step STEP. End of the navigation path

The following steps are carried out automatically:

  • Setup of the connection to the selected STEP server

  • Export of the data into an exchange file

  • Execution of the mapping process

As a result of these steps, the application log is displayed. The STEP interface: Export screen reappears by clicking Back .

  1. If you want to process the header data, choose Start of the navigation path Goto Next navigation step STEP header data End of the navigation path

  1. If you want to save the STEP file, select Start of the navigation path STEP model Next navigation step Save STEP file. End of the navigation path

Enter the data for the file manager.

  1. If you want to display the application log, select Start of the navigation path Goto Next navigation step Application log. End of the navigation path

Check the Log . The STEP interface: Export screen reappears by clicking Back .
