Configuring the Mobile Entity Collection

Context

You can use the mobile entity collection (MEC) to create standard-based interfaces for DOE data objects. Any mobile client framework can use these interfaces. MEC also provides interfaces that the DOE can use to push changes actively to the third-party server infrastructure.

Procedure

  1. You must specify the server details or the host details in table SDOE_WS_HOST.

  2. If you want to override the design time projections, specify an active runtime projection.

  3. If you want to override the design time header, specify an active runtime header.

  4. You must specify the RFC destination for a back-end search BAPI.

  5. You can specify the appropriate values for the registration, messaging, monitoring, and browser parameter keys.

  6. You need to set the data objects as sync-extract-enabled to avoid manual triggering of extracts.
