Specifying the RFC Destination for a Back-End Search BAPI

Use

You this procedure to configure the RFC destination for a function module.

Prerequisites

You have identified the following:

• The entity set mobile business object ID (ESMBO_ID) of a data object.

• The name of the function module that you have assigned to the data object.

• The name of the RFC destination that you have defined for the data objects.

Procedure

1. Choose transaction SDOE_PARAM to open the Parameter Keys view in display mode.

2. From the Parameter Keys table, choose the row containing the parameter key DOE_CONNECTOR.

3. In the Dialog Structure pane, double-click the node Parameter Names .

4. From the Parameter Names table, choose the row containing the parameter name BE_SEARCH_RFC.

5. In the Dialog Structure pane, double-click the node Parameter Values .

6. Choose Edit .

7. Choose New Entries .

8. Specify the following details:

   • Parameter Key : DOE_CONNECTOR

   • Parameter Name : BE_SEARCH_RFC

   • Validity Area : <value of ESMBO_ID > or <value of MEC Trans >

   • Validity Sub Area : <name of the function module assigned to the data object>

   • Text Value : <name of the destination>

9. Choose Save .
