Additional Details

Feature Type of Change Description More Information
Logging for data model creation New

You can now create logs when an IRF data model is generated to get information about which tables, fields and links were considered for the model.

The new dropdown-list Generation Log was added to report Adjust IRF Data Model.

System documentation of the Adjust IRF Data Model report (transaction DTINF_ADJUST_MODEL).
Create application logs New
Application logs are now written for the following reports:
  • Adapt Data Models (transaction DTINF_ADAPT_MODELS)

  • Start Data Collection (transaction DTINF_START_COLL)

  • Process Data Collection Results (transaction DTINF_PROC_COLL)

For more information, refer to the system documentation of the reports.
Include additional data sources New

In addition to collecting personal data from information stored in ILM objects, archiving/ destruction objects or from specific tables defined in BAdI implementations, you can now add other data sources that should be searched for personal data.

For this, you can define so-called data collectors in Customizing for Cross-Application Components under Start of the navigation pathData Protection Next navigation step Information Retrieval Framework Next navigation step Register Data CollectorsEnd of the navigation path.

For more information, see Add Additional Data Sources.
Enhanced purpose maintenance New
The new Customizing activity Maintain Purposes was added to the IMG for Data Protection to provide an easy way of creating, changing or deleting purposes for the IRF. In addition, the following features are supported:
  • Assign filters to the purposes that exist in your system. Filters enable you to refine the data collection process, for example you can now search for personal data that belongs to a specific data controller

  • Assign data collectors to purposes. This activity is mandatory, if you want to include data collectors in the search for personal data.

  • Maintain Purposes

  • For more information, go to Customizing for Cross-Application Components under Start of the navigation pathData Protection Next navigation step Information Retrieval Framework Next navigation step Maintain PurposesEnd of the navigation path.

Authorization object New As of this support package, authorization object S_INF_DPO replaces the now obsolete object S_INF_COLL.

The new authorization object provides the additional authorization field PURPOSE_ID that defines the purposes for which a user is allowed to start an information retrieval. In addition, users can only review the results of the retrieval process, if they have a role with the relevant purpose ID assigned.
