This iView provides you with the following options for finding detailed information about an object:

  • Object search

The object search allows you to find objects even if you do not know the full name.

For more information about this search feature, see Embedded Search.

  • My Favorites and Last Accessed lists

These personal object worklists (POWLs) provide you with access to your favorite and recently accessed objects. They support the following object types:

    • Document information record

    • Job

    • Maintenance item

    • Maintenance notification

    • Maintenance order

    • Maintenance task list

    • Maintenance plan

    • Material

    • Measurement document

    • Measuring point

    • Object link

    • Technical object (equipment)

    • Technical object (functional location)

You can add an object to your list of favorites from the object search result list, the Asset Viewer, and the relevant Web Dynpro application. It is not possible to add an object directly.

An object appears in your list of recently accessed objects after you view it in either a Web Dynpro application or the Asset Viewer. The reference document for a job also appears in this list if you view the job's detailed information in the job list.

In addition, both lists provide you with the following standard navigation options for the selected object:

    Navigation Option

    Available for Object Type

    Display <object type>

This option displays the object in the corresponding Web Dynpro application in display mode, if one is available.

All object types available in the POWLs

    Display <object type> in <back-end transaction>

All object types available in the POWLs

Display <object type> in Asset Viewer

All object types available in the POWLs, except maintenance plan

  • Direct access to the Asset Viewer

You can display technical objects and materials directly in the Asset Viewer by entering the object ID.

For more information, see Asset Viewer.
