Scheduling Jobs in Mass Maintenance

Mass maintenance allows you to schedule deletion jobs simultaneously for multiple InfoObjects and write-optimized DataStore objects or to schedule reductions jobs simultaneously for multiple InfoObjects and DataStore objects (standard and write-optimized).

Procedure

  1. To do this, select multiple data targets and press Mass Reduction of Requests or Mass Deletion of Requests.
  2. Define the selections for the reduction run or deletion run.
    Option Description
    Mass deletion run Define the selections for the selected write-optimized DataStore objects and/or InfoObjects.

    Mass reduction run Under Request at Least XX Months Old, specify how old the requests must be.
  3. Select a variant or create a new variant.
    The naming convention for variants is as follows: /GROUP/<name that you specified when creating the variant>)
  4. Choose Plan Mass Deletion Run or Plan Mass Reduction Run and define the scheduling conditions.

    The system schedules the job according to the scheduling conditions.

  5. Monitor the run.
    1. By choosing Display External Jobs (Display External Jobs) you can switch to the job overview.
    2. By choosing Display Deletion LogDeletion Logs or Display Reduction LogsReduction Logs, you can call the logs for the runs. To do this, you first select the time period that you want to display logs for. The system displays a list of runs. For each run, you can display the batch manager messages and the batch job.
