Schedule and Monitoring Jobs to Reduce or Delete Requests

In the detail view for a data target, the system shows the Reduction of Requests tab for InfoCubes, standard DataStore objects and write-optimized DataStore objects. You can schedule periodic reduction runs for the data target here and monitor the jobs. For write-optimized DataStore objects, the system also shows the Deletion of Requests tab. If the requests for a write-optimized DataStore object are not archived, you can schedule periodic deletion runs for the requests and monitor the jobs.

Procedure

  1. Specify how old requests should be in order to be added to a reduction run or deletion run.
    • If you want to perform a reduction run, specify how old the requests should be under Request at Least XX Months Old.
    • If you want to perform a deletion run, specify how old the requests should be under Request at Least XX Months Old.
  2. By pressing Evaluate Requests you can call information about whether requests in the data target are suitable for reduction or for deletion, and if so how many.
  3. Once you have called this information, you can display further information by pressing Details.
  4. If you want to perform a deletion run for write-optimized DataStore objects: To only delete requests have already been updated to connected InfoProviders using delta updating, select Requests must be delta updated.
  5. Choose Schedule Reduction Run or Schedule Deletion Run and define the scheduling conditions.
The system defines a variant with the naming convention /SINGLE_RED/<Datenzielname> for the reduction job or /SINGLE_DEL/<Datenzielname> for the deletion job and schedules the job in accordance with the scheduling conditions.
  6. Monitor the reduction run or deletion run.
    1. By choosing Display Reduction Job (Display Reduction Job) or Display Deletion Jobs (Display Deletion Jobs) you can switch to the job overview and monitor the job.
    2. By choosing Display Reduction LogReduction Logs or Display Deletion LogDeletion Logs, you can call the logs for the reduction/deletion runs. To do this, you first select the time period that you want to display logs for. The system displays a list of runs. For each run, you can display the batch manager messages and the batch job.
