Perform Settlement By Basic Booking Units

Use

This function is used to perform settlement for combined booking units separately for each basic booking unit involved.

Integration

It is part of document processing.

If you have selected the corresponding indicators in the product master data, the system can take account of lower-level basic booking units as additional settlement factors when it generates the billing datasets.

In a standard scenario, the system considers advertisers, publication dates or periods and booking units that have been assigned to the document item as settlement factors when it generates the billing datasets.

Prerequisites

Settlement is to be performed for combined booking units separately by basic booking units.

Settlement of a combined booking unit is to be performed separately by the ad specs that have been assigned to the lower-level basic booking units if these ad specs have different sizes or color schemes.

If you perform settlement for a combined booking unit separately by basic booking units, the following options are available to you:

The system generates a billing dataset for each advertiser, publication date or period, booking unit that has been assigned to the document item and each basic booking unit.
Ad, online, ad insert, commercial	You have selected the Separate settlement by schedule lines indicator in the combined booking unit master data and assigned various ad specs (ad spec number) or ad inserts (ad insert number) to the lower-level basic booking units during order entry. Alternately, you have combined one or more schedule lines in a basic booking unit with other items, sub-items or schedule lines as a combination sale.	You can decide whether the system is to generate a billing dataset for each advertiser, publication date or period, booking unit that has been assigned to the document item and each basic booking unit.
Ad, online	You have selected the Separate settlement by ad specs indicator in the combined booking unit master data and assigned ad specs with different sizes to the lower-level basic booking units during order entry.

If you perform settlement for a combined booking unit separately by basic booking units, the system does not determine the overall price for the combined booking unit, but determines the individual price for all basic booking units in this combined booking unit. The lower price here is produced from the correspondingly lower prices for basic booking units that are placed in the combined booking unit.

The system generates additional billing datasets in the following situations: You have selected the Separate settlement by sub ad specs indicator in Customizing when you defined the relationships between ad specs and sub ad specs. You have assigned sub ad specs to the combined booking unit during order entry.
