Create credit memo items
This function copies selected data from a template item within a sales document. You want to copy all schedule line data for a complaint into a new document item. The copying variant indicates that the item category for the new item is a credit memo.
Unlike a document item copy with reference to a document item, the system retains manual changes to the schedule line, such as manual surcharges or discounts, ad spec assignments or quantity changes for a document item copy with reference to a schedule line if you have defined the schedule line copying variant accordingly.

During
Create with reference
, a relationship between the copied schedule line and the original schedule line is created using document flow.
This function copies several schedule lines into a credit memo item collectively. Schedule lines must meet the following requirements to ensure that the credit memo item is consistent:
If you copy schedule lines with different dates into a document item, you must copy the same booking units on all dates.
If you copy combined booking unit schedule lines for an ad, commercial or online item and have not selected all the basic booking units, you can only copy
one
schedule line into an item with an item category for which
the Partial credit memo for a basic booking unit
indicator is selected.
Note
If you have not selected all basic booking units in a combined booking unit schedule line for the ad insert or distribution item and only copy individual basic booking units, the system selects the
Selective booking
indicator in the new item.
If you have generated schedule lines for an ad item manually, you must copy all schedule lines for the booking unit.
When copying schedule lines from a date combination, you must copy all schedule lines that originate from this combination.
You can execute this function for published and unpublished schedule lines.
Copy positioning for ad insert and distribution items
This function copies positionings for ad insert and distribution items that are booked selectively and therefore creates identical positionings on different publication dates more quickly.
If you choose a copying variant for which the
Change date
indicator has been selected, you can specify a publication date on the
New AI item attributes
dialog box when you create a new item. The system creates the new ad insert or distribution item with the original booking unit and positioning for the new publication date.
