It is available to you as follows in document processing:

If complaints have been made for invoices and the associated billing datasets are to be cancelled, creating cancellations is part of complaint processing.

If the appropriate copying variants have been created in Customizing, you can copy items, such as those created for cash sales or barter deals, that have been created with the wrong item category, with the correct item category and cancel the template items during copying.

A cancellation is to be created because an ad insert order has been withdrawn, an ad is to be published in a different booking unit after the order deadline or a complaint has been made for an invoice.
You have defined the cancellation reasons in Customizing.
The publication date of the document item to be cancelled has not changed. The system does not check the performance date for a service item.
The item, schedule line or billing dataset status allows this to be cancelled.
Billing datasets can still be cancelled even if a billing dataset or the billing datasets for an item or schedule line have already been billed. If you cancel a billing dataset that has already been billed, you cancel the original billing item.

A cancellation reason must be specified here.
Items, schedule lines and billing datasets can be cancelled.
If you cancel an item, this also cancels any schedule lines and billing datasets in this item.
The cancelled item cannot be produced or billed subsequently.
If you cancel a schedule line, the system only cancels the associated billing dataset if you cancel all schedule lines that belong to this billing dataset.
Example
If you enter an ad item with a combined booking which to which three basic booking units are assigned at a lower level and enter a publication date, the system would create three schedule lines and one billing dataset for this ad item in a standard scenario.
If you cancel one or two schedule lines in the ad item, the system does not also cancel the associated billing dataset. If you cancel all schedule lines in the ad item, the system cancels the associated billing dataset.
When cancelling schedule lines, the system informs you if the associated billing datasets have also been cancelled.
The cancelled schedule line cannot be produced or billed subsequently. Note however that the schedule line can be settled but not produced if its associated billing datasets are not also cancelled.
If you cancel a billing dataset, you cancel the entire billing dataset.
If the cancelled billing dataset has not previously been billed, it is not billed here. If a cancelled billing dataset has already been billed, the system cancels the original billing item and generates a cancellation document.

It is not possible to cancel every billing dataset that has been billed. Billed billing datasets cannot for instance be cancelled if successor billing items that cannot be cancelled exist.
When cancelling billed billing datasets, the system checks whether dependent billing items are also to be cancelled.
Once you have cancelled an item, schedule line or billing dataset, you can no longer make entries in fields on the
Details
tab page at item, schedule line and billing dataset level.
Schedule lines or billing datasets for an item can be cancelled by selecting them in the schedule line or billing dataset overview and creating a cancellation for all of these items. Any billing datasets that cannot in fact be cancelled are displayed in a log.
If you cancel an item, schedule line or billing dataset, the system sets the status of the item, schedule line or billing dataset to
Cancelled (logically deleted).
If you cancel a schedule line or a billing dataset, this does not affect the status of the associated item.
If you cancel an item or schedule line and have connected a technical system to the
Advertising Management (IS-M/AM)
System, the system transfers the cancellation to the technical system.
Note
Additional information about technical system integration is available in the Technical Interface IS-M/ITA, Integration of Technical Systems document.
