Quantity Determination

Use

The system is instructed to determine the ad insert quantities required to manage ad insert orders. These quantities can be adjusted manually as required.

Integration

This function is part of order entry and is available to you during creation and modification of ad insert items.

During order entry, ad insert quantities are determined during booking and positioning.

If you are using the Media Sales and Distribution component to manage ad insert shipping, the system only takes account of the quantity data from this component when it generates issue mixes (insertions) and deliveries (delta coverage) in the standard configuration. The system does not evaluate any quantity information that you enter when creating ad insert orders in the Advertising Management component during shipping. The system ignores a selective booking and modified ad insert quantities information in the Media Sales and Distribution component during shipping if issue mixes (insertions) or deliveries (delta coverage) have not been changed or the system is not modified.
