Local Configuration Check If you use integrated functions in the Configuration Control Workbench , the system can perform a local configuration check against the allowed configuration for the installation and swapping of equipment.
Note
SAP supplies a Business Add-In (BAdI) for the local configuration check.
You have installed the master parts list for the respective technical object and linked it with the actual configuration. For more information, see Preparatory Activities for the Configuration Check .
You have actively implemented the BAdI BADI_CCM_I_STRCT_CHK.
If required, you have activated the check of the
cancel-part relationships
under
Make General Settings for Interface to iPPE Workbench
in Customizing for Plant Maintenance and Customer Service.
The local configuration check for the respective equipment includes a check of the material validity and cancel-part relationships. In this process, the information checked is compared with the information stored for the corresponding structure nodes.
The corresponding iPPE structure nodes of the allowed configuration are determined on the basis of the function identifier (FID) of the structure gap and the class . The structure gap specifies where the equipment must be installed. The class is derived from the access node of the top-level reference equipment.
Note
Each iPPE product structure linked with the respective object must be assigned to another class, so that the system can uniquely identify the right structure code of the allowed configuration.
The material validity check is performed for the variants that are assigned to the corresponding structure nodes.
For the assembly to be checked, the configuration information and the parameter effectivity are taken from the access node of the top-level reference equipment in the allowed configuration.
A quantity check is not performed.
